I write this from Hampton, Virginia, where we are staying at a waterfront hotel while Bill has meetings at NASA/Langley.
In an earlier entry, I presented some exceptional Lawn Art, spotted in Arcata, California. “Give us more!” you said, and now I shall.
Here at the marina next to this very hotel, I have spotted a fascinating American trend: Lawn Art for boats.
Which is to say: If one’s boat is one’s home, and hence one lacks a lawn, then artistic expression usually reserved for the lawn must flourish instead on the foredeck.
Stay tuned as I troll for further imaginative frameworks for this Great American Tradition.
